Vinita Nair

In July 2004 she joined the station and was able to cover a range of stories. These included the investigation into the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair became a part of ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. To fulfill her duties as a correspondent provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair worked as a co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's digital channel from September 17th, 2008 until February 18th, the 18th of February. For both of the shows, Nair worked initially in partnership with Jeremy Hubbard. Later she worked alongside Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she would not be appearing in World News Now after Friday 18th February 2011. She announced that her last day at ABC News would be Friday 18, February. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. World News Now, February 18 included three tributes to Nair. Former and current colleagues appeared in the segments. She treated the crew to breakfast that was hot at the end of her day.
