Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her professional fight career during her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina then won the Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011, and as the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia was a professional who started her career as a professional at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships were held in 2016 and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko made her first professional MMA record at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She was 3-0 after winning in the second round TKO. The next two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer, and took a long time off of MMA. She returned to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera by knees. Antonina took a UFC offer after her victory. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight following her first fight by unanimous decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a back naked choke submission. It was the best fight of the night in that bout. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 in her three subsequent matches, winning against Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
